Java, Sumatra — the cradle of coffee

Indonesia gave coffee its name worldwide — "Java" means coffee in American slang from the 1900s. The Dutch planted Asia's first commercial farm here in 1696. Today, Indonesia produces coffees with distinctive profiles, hard to replicate elsewhere. Java Typica (washed) offers cleaner profile vs the famous Sumatra Wet-Hulled.
