How natural CO₂ decaffeination works

The raw, unroasted coffee is moistened with water, then contacted with pressurized liquid CO₂ — sourced from a natural spring in Northern Germany. The CO₂ circulates through the coffee and gently extracts the caffeine. The process is repeated until the desired residual caffeine level is reached, then the coffee is dried gently back to its original moisture content. The extracted caffeine is recycled into new products.

Chemical-free, no synthetic solvents. The patented process preserves aroma and character at their best — ideal for high-quality coffees like this Peruvian lot.
